Hello everyone, to answer the burning question, I am Cherry. Yes, that is my name. Yes, spelt just like the fruit, and no not Chase even though you swear that's what you heard on the phone. Even though Cherry is not my Legal name, it has been the name I have gone by for over five years. It has carried well into my professional life so why not extend it into the book trade?
I am a bookseller that also specializes in antiquarian books. I have been a bookseller since October of 2022, and I've been working on expanding my knowledge of the antiquarian trade this year. I aim to be able to offer a collection of cherry-picked books (see what I did there haha.) So, I don't want my catalog to carry all the normal titles you typically see filling the pages in your email. I want the books I offer to fill some hole inside yourself you didn't realize was there
So, what does that mean really?
Well, it means even though I can get you that first edition you've been hunting. I can also get you that obscure paperback that was only in print for a year, but you really love it because it's the same cover you saw all your little classmates with when you had to rush off to band practice. I will of course aim to carry any materials relating to counterculture, and revolutionary movements. Since its a personal interest of mine. And yes, I realize that's pretty common, but I want to be able to carry the really odd and overlooked aspects of these topics as well.
Also, so you are all aware ahead of time, I will be talking about all kinds of topics as I find myself going down rabbit holes often.
